Mrs. Marck's Favorite Resources!

Hello Parents!  These are a few of my treasured resources that I use to help excite your children during our Library periods together!  Please feel free to peruse and use them at home with your child as well!  Endearingly, your child will recognize most of the sites, and may actually help YOU to navigate through them! 

Starfall.com is a fantastic way to engage your child in interactive math and reading games!  Your child can also practice letter sounds, letter recognition, word families, and rhyming skills while having fun! There are even free printables available!

We love learning about rhymes with Dr. Seuss books!   Seussville.com includes activities and games to print and play, along with clips of our favorite characters!  There are even resources included for parents and teachers to use!

Let's continue our path to tolerance and acceptance of our diverse and multicultural world!  Please join en.childrenslibrary.org to read a vast array of books about different cultures.  Some books are even available in different languages!

This site is not only for educators, but parents may benefit from the many different templates and worksheets available for printing as well!  This way, you and your child can practice these activities and skills in the comfort of your home! 

This website offers many games and activities for your child to learn about the plethora of animals and their habitats that our world’s different countries offer.  The videos and images are a great extension to Social Studies and Science, and the renowned photography and videography can help make your child feel as if he/she is up close and personal with the animals.

This site informs kids and parents about being healthy, how the body

works, mindfulness, recipes, and even includes a kids’ dictionary of medical terms! There are games to play and lots of interactive activities that make learning to be healthy lots of fun!  The site also has current information and kid-friendly articles about the Covid epidemic.

This site incorporates fun letter sound activities for children to complete while having fun!  It also helps children utilize basic computer skills, like clicking and dragging, to also enhance your child’s technology knowledge.  *Please note that there is a free trial, and then a subscription fee if interested after.

This site uses its famous characters from the television shows such as Arthur and Clifford the Big Red Dog to engage the students in videos and interactive activities that help to boost both early math and literacy skills.  Both parents and teachers can enjoy the resources, advice, games, and activities that pbskids.org has to offer! 

 This site has incredible resources such as free printables a flashcards that are premade to help teacher and parents create fun learning activities for children in both math and language arts.  It also provides crafts, puzzles, worksheets, and ideas for themes/holidays to make learning a time to engage and bond with your student/child.

This site offers home practice for children, as well as literacy centers for educators.   Free printables and ideas are provided, as well as lesson plan ideas and links to fun interactive online games!
